Attorney Kevin J. Frost is a managing partner of Clark Frost Zucchi and has spent three decades representing people whose lives have been changed by serious injuries and accidents in Rockford and Loves Park. As a seasoned trial lawyer, he prepares every case with the expectation that it may need to proceed to trial. That approach allows him to pursue full compensation for his clients’ medical expenses, income losses, loss of a normal life, and pain and emotional suffering.
Mr. Frost focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death matters across Rockford and throughout Illinois. He has extensive experience handling claims involving catastrophic injuries, permanent disabilities, and fatal incidents. He knows all too well that insurance companies and corporate defendants often bring significant resources to these cases, so he responds with careful preparation, detailed investigation, and more than 30 years of litigation experience.
As managing partner, Mr. Frost also guides our law firm’s overall direction and maintains high standards for both client service and case preparation. His leadership role reflects both his substantial trial experience and his long-standing commitment to advocating for the injured and grieving.

Mr. Frost is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which is limited to attorneys who have secured verdicts or settlements exceeding one million dollars. In addition, he has a Martindale Hubbell Notable Peer Rating for Strong Ethical Standards for 2026, which reflects positive evaluations he has received from fellow lawyers regarding his professional conduct and legal ability.
In addition to his legal practice for our law firm, Mr. Frost maintains an active role in public service and community leadership. He has served as an elected Alderman for the City of Rockford for more than a decade. In that capacity, he has chaired the Finance and Personnel Committee and the Legislative and Lobbying Committee, where he participates in budget oversight, policy development, and governance.
His civic involvement reflects a long-term commitment to the Rockford community. Through his work on the city council, he has addressed issues affecting residents, local businesses, and public services. This public service role requires careful review of financial matters, collaboration with other officials, and direct engagement with community members.
Mr. Frost has also contributed to the legal community through pro bono efforts with Prairie State Legal Services and by lecturing on evidence and trial-related topics for the Winnebago County Bar Association. He previously served on the Alumni Board for the University of Illinois College of Law, where he supported ongoing engagement between graduates and the institution.
Mr. Frost earned his bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, from which he graduated with high honors. His background in accounting continues to influence his approach to the personal injury litigation he handles for our law firm, particularly when it comes to analyzing financial records, calculating damages, and presenting economic evidence in court.
He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law. During his time in law school and in the early stages of his legal career, Mr. Frost clerked for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office. These positions gave him his first exposure to courtroom procedure, evidentiary standards, and case preparation at both the state and federal levels.
He was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1995 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. His early prosecutorial experience and academic foundation continue to inform the litigation strategy he uses for our law firm’s clients today.
Mr. Frost regularly engages with the public to discuss legal issues affecting injured people and their families. He hosts the “Call Frost First” podcast, which is available on all major podcast platforms and addresses topics related to personal injury law, accident claims, and legal rights. On his podcast, he provides general information about the legal process and common concerns following serious accidents.
He also participates in a monthly legal segment with WIFR, where he provides commentary on current legal matters and safety issues impacting the Rockford and Loves Park communities. These appearances allow him to share practical insights drawn from his decades of litigation experience.
Outside of his legal and civic responsibilities, Mr. Frost values time with his family and staying active in the communities he serves. He enjoys skiing and spending time outdoors when his schedule permits. His long-standing ties to the Rockford area, combined with decades of professional experience, reflect both personal and professional investment in the area and the people who live and work here.
